The SolarMagnatronTM bioreactor, our core technology, operates as a continuous, closed, autonomously controlled system that uses light and electromagnetic energy to maximize algae growth by well over 300% compared to conventional technologies. This efficiency reduces production costs significantly. Our system creates this upstream efficiency with various microalgae species, which are capable of producing different “green” products – each with substantial markets. Most importantly, using our core SolarMagnatronTM technology integrated with partnered technologies from carbon dioxide capture to feed algae to biomass processing (harvesting/dewatering, oil extraction), we have designed a complete solution that enables production of energy-rich algal biomass into bio-oils, fuels and valuable chemicals in commercial quantities. We call this integral design the Symbiotic Energy System (SES). To our knowledge, no other existing system currently matches the dual capabilities of our SES program to produce large quantities of algal biomass to produce bio-oil and other products at a reasonable cost per ton and to mitigate and/or eliminate smokestack pollutants and greenhouse gases cost-effectively. For this reason, we believe that AlgaStar’s SolarMagnatronTM bioreactor will become an enabling technology critical to the future of the world’s commercial algae biomass and alternative energy production.
